The idea for creating a chain of boutique card and gift outlets came from a gap in the retail market in the specialised area of greeting cards. The concept was to develop a store with a wonderful range of contemporary greeting cards, bears, dolls, collectables, and gifts, providing the base for a unique retailing venture.

Our first retail outlet opened at John Martin's Plaza in Adelaide on the 28th of May 1986. From there the group grew to a handful of stores, proving the concept was a solid retail business model, before franchising began in 1988. Now, Kenny's Cardiology stores are located in high profile regional and city shopping centres across the country.
